My name is Full Moon to honor all the ancestors of my mixed heritage. Spoke aloud in many ways; Luna Llena, Plenilunio, or Kabilugan Ng Buwan, it means the same thing; the culmination of light illuminating a celestial body.
As was shining on the night I was born, I intend with my art and my life to turn tides and inspire.
I started as a filmmaker. I went to a classical film school and learned all the technically beautiful things about making movies.
I focused my education on every culture's unique interpretation of the divine spark of inspiration.
I learned about all Art styles and mediums. Film being my favorite- the ultimate devotion to represent humanity the way our perceptions feel, like memory and dreams.
In time, I’ve found far more peaceful and fruitful processes in other more physical and individual mediums. From ceramics painting jewelry beading sewing collage installation or any other way not mentioned or that I am yet to try.
I am ultimately a creator and storyteller. In many ways I’m only a lonely observer simply making reflections.
Like the Moon, I am loved by many and known by many names. I amplify ideas, like a tale as old as time.
